The results of the week: the fuel shortage in Kazakhstan and anti-Russian sanctions in the Ukraine.

The most notable event of the week was the continuation of the fuel shortages in some regions of Kazakhstan and the adoption of the Ukraine Sanctions Act by the Verkhovna Rada, which provides for 29 anti-Russian actions, including the termination of energy resources transit to Europe.

LLP "KazMunaiGas Onimderi" being the single operator for the supply of Russian oil continues to insist on the fact that one of the probable causes of the gasoline shortage in the retail market of the country is keeping the sale of the fuel by the market participants in anticipation of the higher maximum retail prices in the market. According to the company, there is currently enough fuel in the bulk plants. However, in some regions there is no gasoline at the gas stations or its sale is carried out via coupons. The petroleum deficit is observed in Uralsk, Kokshetau, Kostanay, Almaty.
