The Ukraine increased gas imports from Slovakia by almost 40%

​The Ukraine increased gas import from Slovakia by almost 40% to 24 mln cubic m a day, the head of the press service of Ukrtransgas, M. Belyavsky, said.

As of today the daily gas shipment from Slovakia is 24 mln cubic m, by 7 mln cubic m more than yesterday, he said.

Daily 40 mln cubic m of gas is loaded into the underground gas storages  and 12.6 bln cubic m have been accumulated there. On Tuesday the growth of gas pumping to Europe via the Ukraine is expected.

According to Ukrtransgas, by the preliminary application of Gazprom the growth of volumes by 5 mln cubic m is expected to 225 mln cubic m a day.
