Volume of ferrous metals transshipment grew by 6.7%, non-ferrous metals – by 3.3%

​In January-May 2016 the cargo turnover of the sea ports of Russia made up 286.3 mln tons. The growth of volumes in annual terms is by 5.9%, the Association of sea trade ports of Russia reports.

The stake of dry cargo in the total volume of transshipment was 129.4 mln tons, the growth against January-May 2015 is by 11.6%. The transshipment of ferrous metals out of this volume reached 12.2 mln tons, ferrous metals – 1.6 mln tons. The growth of results against January-May 2015 is 6.7% and 3.3% respectively. The volume of scrap metal transshipment fell by 2.1% to 1.7 mln tons.

According to RZD, the loading of ferrous metals at the network of RZD in January-May 2016 made up 29.9 mln tons – by 2.1% less than in January-May 2015.
