Turkmenistan completes construction of export gas pipeline East-West

The construction of the East-West gas pipeline, designed to export Turkmen gas to world markets, will be completed in the near future, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov reported to delegates of the International Gas Congress.
The construction of the pipeline with length of about 800 kilometers and cost of over $2 billion is carried out by the state-owned concerns, Turkmenneftegazstroy and Turkmengaz on their own. This project, which will loop all the major gas storages of Turkmenistan into a single system, it aims to create favourable conditions for the export of Turkmen gas to the world markets in any direction.
