LUKOIL to invest 86 bln roubles into the updating of the Volgograd oil refinery

LUKOIL will invest 86.7 billion roubles (31.3 bln roubles in 2014) into the realization of the investment projects at the Volgograd oil refinery. A.Alekperov said after the visiting of LUKOIL-Volgogradneftepererabotka, the largest producer of fuels and lubricants in the Southern Federal District.

One of the projects is the construction of the crude oil distillation unit (CDU-1) of 6 million tons of processing capacity a year at the plant. The unit will start working at full capacity in 2015.

There has been invested 14 billion roubles into the construction of the oil refinery.

CDU-1 is meant for primary crude oil processing in order to receive low-octane products: sour gas, reflux, straight-run gasoline, kerosene, kerosene-gasoil fraction, vacuum gasoil and acid residue.
