Kyrgyzstan to receive $2.5 billion from CNPC for gas transit

Kyrgyzstan will receive $2.5 billion from the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) for gas transit over 30 years, the Minister of Energy and Industry, Osmonbek Artykbaev stated in Shanghai.

Previously O.Artykbaev behalf of the Government of Kyrgyzstan signed a memorandum with CNPC on the creation of a Coordinating Committee to implement the Agreement on cooperation in the construction and operation of the Kyrgyzstan - China gas pipeline.

China appointed Trans-Kyrgyz gas Pipeline Company Limited, established in Hong Kong, to implement the project on the gas pipeline construction, the Tazabek transmits.
