Alrosa increased quarterly production of diamonds by 6%

In the first quarter of 2015, the largest diamond producer of Russia Alrosa increased its diamond mining by 6%. In January - March, the company's mines produced 8.4 million carats of this stone.

The growth of the Alrosa’s diamond mining is explained by 9-fold increase in the production at the underground mine of Mir pipe, start of production at the Botuoba pipe and the 5-fold growth at the Arkhangelskaya and Karpinskogo-1 pipes at the deposit n.a. Lomonosov.
