Italy can live without Russian gas. But for how long?

Italy can live without Russian gas, if its supplies will be suspended because of sanctions against Russia, head of Eni, P. Scaroni stated on March, 20th.

“Russian gas is only 30% of out consumption and we could live, not buying it from Russia,” – the Eni’s head said.

“Even with the Ukrainian crisis we can provide the supplies,” – he said. It should be noted that Italian degree of freedom is higher than the degree of other European states.
