The Stupino Titanium Company enters the SMC group of companies
The Stupino Titanium Company (STC) has entered the SMC group of companies.
“At present the program of the development of the Stupino Titanium Company is being decided. The program will map out the production development, the upgrade and the extension of the range of production, – The General Director of the SMC group of companies, Vladimir Chertovikov, noted. – In particular, it’s mapped out to resume the production of the hammered titanium rod, titanium alloy grades and other kind of products, including for export.”
The purchase of the STC is the important stage in the development of the SMC group of companies that will allow extending the nomenclature of the producing goods and to provide fully the main industry sectors with high-quality production.
Alexander Romanov is appointed as a General Director of the STC; he will also execute the duty of SMC’s CEO.
The LLC “Stupino Titanium Company” was formed in April of 1997 on basis of the site of the production of titanium alloy ingots of the Stupino metallurgic plant’s casting and smelting shop of special alloys. The main type of production is the production of titanium ingots and its alloys.
Alexander Romanov graduated the Finance Academy under the Government of the Russian Federation, at present he gets the second degree at the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys. Since 2004 he held senior positions in Kola MMC and Norilsk Nickel. From 2008 he was the Finance (Executive) Director of the Ural Boeing Manufacturing (VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation and the Boeing company). Since 2010 he was the SMK’s Deputy CEO of Economics and Finance, and from January 2012 he - the Executive Director of SMK.
