In 2012 Uzbekneftegaz will spend $30 million for radial drilling at oil deposits

In 2012, Uzbekneftegaz will spend $30 million for radial drilling at the oil deposits in the Kashdarya district in Southern Uzbekistan. In accordance with the feasibility study of project , they will drill radial holes at an angle of 90* at 25 hydrocarbon deposits. The work will help to intensify production and attract to production difficult to extract reserves with a daily debit of up to 3 tons a day. The project will be realized within 3 years, financed using the funds of Uzbekneftegaz.

Earlier they reported that Uzbekneftegaz was going to allocate $235 million in 2012-2020 to increase oil production at the deposits developed in the state for long a period. By 2021 Uzbekneftegaz will realize the program for deep drilling of 100 objects with the participation of foreign companies, sharing their experience in high-tech use for the growth in oil recovery of the layers at the deposits that are hard to develop. In particular, they will introduce such technologies as drilling to depression, raise  oil recovery by seismic treatment and radial drilling. By 2021, the holding is going to annually extract additional 300,000 tons of oil, with the use of geological and technical measures, aimed at the compensation of the losses in oil production. The major partners for attraction of these technologies are CNPC, KNOC, Delta Oil Company, Eriell Corporation, and Tethys Petroleum Ltd.

Uzbekneftegaz reports that the state is provided with explored reserves of oil for 21 years and gas condensate for 25 years, if the level of production remains equal to the current. 60% of the  oil stocks are at active easily extractable reserves. The rest needs additional drilling of deep wells, including those with horizontal and branch holes, and with the use of high technology. Uzbekneftegaz capacities can provide for the annual production of 70 billion cubic m of gas anf 8 million tons of liquid hydrocarbons.
