In 2012, oil export from Russia decreased by 1.8%
In 2012, the export of oil from Russia decreased by 1.8% as compared to the last year to 239.9 million tons. The relative weight of oil in the total volume of Russian export made up 34.5% last year, and in the export of fuel and energy goods – 49% (in 2011 – 35.2% and 50.2% respectively).
According to the Russian Statistics Committee’s comparative data on oil production (without gas condensate) in the Russian Federation and other leading countries, which export this raw material, Russian produced 10.22 million barrels per day in December of 2012, whereas the OPEC countries – 30.365 million barrels per day summarily (including Iraq and Saudi Arabia – 3.011 and 9.211 million barrels per day respectively). Thus, in December Russia maintained the first place in the production, which it took in last July, left behind Saudi Arabia.
In December, the average factual export oil price decreased by 2.1% as compared to November of 2012 and made up $735.7 per ton. At the same time, the price of the world market of the main Russian export oil Urals made up $790.8 per ton (it corresponds to the rate of November of 2012), the prime transmits.
According to the Central Dispatch Department of the Fuel and Energy Sector, in 2012 Russia increased the oil and gas condensate production by 1.3% as compared to the previous year to 518.017 million tons and decreased the oil export by 1% to 239.644 million tons.
In the beginning of December, the Ministry of Economic Development decreased the forecast of the oil export from Russia in 2012 to 239.6 million tons, but increased for 2013 – to 240 million tons. Earlier, the Ministry expected the oil export in 2012 at the level of 241.1 million tons and in 2013 - at the level of 238 million tons.
The Russian Ministry of Energy expects that the oil production volume will make up 505-510 million tons per year through until 2020.
