Western sanctions, imposed against Russia, are not to cut off ties between Total and Moscow. The new-elected chief executive of the French company P.Pouyanne states.

“Great efforts have been put to enter the Russian market. We can not risk. People remember. You are to be with partners both when they are strong enough and develop successfully and when they undergo difficult times,” Pouyanne stated in an interview to the Financial Times.

According to the head of Total, the means for the financing of a joint project “Yamal LNG” will arrive in mid 2015 from the European and Chinese banks.
