In the first 9 months of 2015, index of production of polymer goods in Russia fell by 4.6%

In the first nine months of this year, the index of production of finished goods made of polymers in Russia decreased by 4.6% as compared with the same period in 2014. The biggest fall in the output took place in the construction sector, Market Report informs.

In October, the decline in the production of products from polymers accelerated and reached 4.6% year on year, while in the first nine months, the index was 4.4%. The volume of the polymer products output in September was heavily influenced by the deficit and the record level of prices of several large polymers: polyethylene and polyvinyl chloride. The positive growth in production figures was recorded in the film industry, while the decline continues in the construction sector.
