Within the last 2 months, Gazprom and Rosneft got 3 license for the shelf sites, the Vice Director of the Oil and Gas Institute, Russian Academy of Sciences, V. Bogoyavlensky says at the session of the conference ‘Arctic Victory – the step to the energy future of Russia’. As on August 1st, Gazprom and Rosneft had 113 shelf sites. Now 3 more sites are granted in addition.
By 2021, Rosneft is going to drill 15 prospecting wells at the Okhotsk Sea shelf and is going to enlarge its reserves to 40 million tons of oil and 60 billion cubic m of gas.
