Russia is ready to write off $1 billion of gas debts of the Ukraine

The Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that Russia has received by at least $5.5 billion less of the Ukrainian debt, but is ready to re-count the gas price "retroactively" with a discount of $ 100, as a result, the debt will be $4.5 billion.

"It's at least $5.5 billion, if we take into account that in April-May-June the Ukraine should pay $485 (for 1 thousand cubic meters of gas), - President Vladimir Putin said. - But we are ready to re-count this figure "retroactively" with a discount of $100.
