Nord Stream has restarted gas pumping after planned repair

The undersea gas pipeline Nord Stream has been restarted after a nine-day routine maintenance program was completed on Thursday at 7:00 MSK, the European gas operators reports.

The main undersea gas pipeline was stopped in the morning of August 11th. On the day of the gas pipeline stop there as a failure on the Yamal-Europe gas pipeline. At the same time, the gas flow was completely stopped. This meant that the Russian gas had only one way to be exported - through the Ukraine. However, equipment of the compressor station Malnov" on the border of Poland and Germany was able to be quickly restarted and gas transportation resumed on the same day.
