UGMK to double extraction of copper-zinc ore at Buribaevsky GOK

The expenditure of UGMK for the realization of the project of launching the “Yuzhny” bore at the Buribaevksy GOK amounted to over 1 bln roubles.
On July 18th the launch of the “Yuzhny” bore took place at the Buribaevky GOK of UGMK. The first lot of the copper-zinc ore is planned to be produced in mid 2016. The expenditure on the project’s realization made up over 1 bln roubles.
According to the company, the operation of the new bore will allow to double the productivity of the mine – to 400 thousand tons a year.
With the putting into operation of the bore the works are not over: the driftage of horizontal rocks, assembly of equipment at 5 sites and mining and preparatory works will be held.
