UC Rusal named the cost of the completion of the construction of a plant in Tayshet

Rusal assesses the investment into the completion of construction of the Tayshet aluminium plant, which was frozen due to low prices for metal, at the volume of $700 mln, the CEO V. Soloviev said.

It is about $700 mln taking into account VAT which will be returned. It is more beneficial to go on the Tayshet project now rather than complete the construction of the 2nd stage of the Boguchansk aluminium plant. It is discussed with the Ministry of Energy, at the Government, there are President’s orders. The plant needs to be constructed, otherwise, the construction is useless, V. Soloviev said.

I hope there is new information by Tayshet by the end of July. This project is discussed actively, including in the framework of development of the domestic market, he added.
