OMV asks EU Committee to speed-up the negotiations with Russia

The largest oil and gas concern from Austria OMV sent a request to the address of the management of the EU to speed up the negotiations with Russia, concerning the construction of the gas pipeline “South Stream”. The Austrians share the position of German Wintershall. According to them, if the gas pipeline is launched in the near future, the energy safety for Europe will be guaranteed. The announcement has to be made shortly before the visit of V.Putin to Austria on June 24th
