The Ministry of Energy and Coal is going to lead the Ukrainian mines to breakeven results within 4-5 years

The Ministry of Energy and Coal is going to achieve the stable development of the coal production enterprises, the Deputy Minister Y. Zyukov says. Now they elaborate the program of the coal sector development from the reform point of view. They are going to lead the Ukrainian mines to breakeven results within 4-5 years. Within recent times, they have executed several measures for the improving of the situation with coal sales and released considerable funds that are allocated to coal enterprises development and social provision of the miners. In particular, in May they sold by the direct contracts over 1 million tons of coal for over $1 billion grivnas, and 400,000 tons of gas coal at stock by market price including for exports.

The Ministry tries to provide 100% payment for the coal extractedl. Due to prohibition of coal sales in primary form and liquidation of the illegal schemes they achieved in reduction of production prime cost of coal. It released the budget from a burden of 180 million grivnas and enabled to allocate these funds to capital construction. It means that the Ukraine starts development and preparing of new working places.
