Gazprom to buys Belgian power plant from Enel

In the near future Gazprom will sign the memorandum about the buying of the Belgian gas power plant Marcinelle (about 400 megawatt) from Enel, two sources close to both parties reported. The transaction can be announced at the International Economic Forum in St. Petersburg, one of them says. The amount of the transaction can reach 200 million EUR, the source adds. The transaction is important for Gazprom as it can provide for an additional demand for gas and additional margins, the source close to the company says.
