The head of the board of directors of AFK Sistema: Arabian companies and Glencore show interest to the purchase of a share in Bashneft.

Many companies, including some  Arabian ones and Glencore show interest into participation in the share capital of Bashneft. The main owner and the chairman of the board of directors of AFK “Sistema” (principal shareholder of Bashneft) V.Evtushenkov said on the sidelines of the St vPetersburg Economic Forum. “Arabian countries and Glencore, but I do not want to name definitely other companies,” he said.

He has noted that there is no burning reason of the attraction of a partner into the registered capital of Bashneft.

There carried out negotiations with Indian ONGC on the acquisition of up to 25% shares of Bashneft at present.

OAO “Oil Company “Bashneft” is focused on oil production on the territory of Bashkortostan, Western Siberia and the Orenburg region. The company supplies oil to the domestic market and for export. Bashneft develops over 160 deposits, the main part of which is are at the closing stages of development.
