Oil and gas industry reaches 35% of Uzbek exports

The share of the oil and gas industry of Uzbekistan in the external trade turnover of the country is about 20%, and in exports - almost 35 %. Such information was announced at the International Oil and Gas Conference "Oil and Gas of Uzbekistan - OGU 2014", the web-portal 12news.uz reports.

During two days the conference’s participants from 20 countries considered a number of topical issues of international cooperation in the oil and gas industry, technology of deep hydrocarbons processing, global experience of geological exploration and enhanced oil recovery technology.

As deputy chairman of the Uzbekneftegaz’s Board, Shokir Faizullaev noted, more than 245 hydrocarbons deposits have been discovered in five oil and gas regions in Uzbekistan, 48 of which in the last six years. Including two new gas condensate fields in the first quarter of 2014.
