Gazprom is going to increase price for the Ukraine to $500

Gazprom has been calculating possible gas price for the Ukraine. In April, it can go from $360 to $500 per 1 thousand cubic meters depending on negotiations with Kiev.

According to the Russian gas community’s head and deputy of the State Duma, Pavel Zavalny, after the cancellation of discount, caused by ill-timed payments and an increase of the Ukrainian debt for consumed Russian gas, the price will grow to $360-370 per 1 thousand cubic meters from April of 2014. But in case of radical scenario – redivision of Russian property in the territory of the Ukraine – the price can jump to $450-500 per thousand cubic meters.
