2 new deposits and 28 new layers at old deposits have been discovered in Yamal in 2012

2 new deposits, 28 new layers, the growth of hydrocarbons reserves, the production of 22.8 mln tons of oil, 540.16 bln cubic m of gas, 12.6 mln tons of condensate – such are the results of the fuel and energy sector of the Yamal Nenets Autonomous Area in 2012 according to the Expert’s Council for Subsoil Use.
The oil and gas production made up 98.9% and 96.5% against 2011, condensate – 110.2%. The volume of the prospect evaluation and exploratory drilling in the region in 2012 made up 174,577 linear m of rocks – 83.5% of the planned volume and 101.4% against the same period in 2011.
