Interpipe Steel intends to reach production of 1.5 million tons of steel per year

In the future, electromtetallurgic complex Interpipe Steel intends to increase the steel production to 1.5 million tons per year, while by results of 2013 this rate was a little more than 1 million tons. The first smelting took place here two years ago, the company’s press release dated January 17 reports.
“At its two-year anniversary, the plant sets itself an aim – to reach the best world rates of efficiency: production of 1.5 million tons of steel per year and cost of process stage in the amount of less than $100 per ton,” – the Interpipe’s press release notes.
