Krasnoyarsk region increased oil production by 21% to 16.7 mln tons in 2012

The Krasnoyarsk region in Jan-November 2012 increased the oil production against Jan-November 2011 by 21.1% to 16.748 mln tons.

The production of natural gas and APG in Jan-November 2012 rose 7.5% to 2.136 bln cubic meters. In 2011 the region produced 15.146 mln tons of oil, 2.22 bln cubic meters of gas, in 2010 – 12.876 mln tons of oil, about 2.16 bln cubic meters of gas.

According to the regional Government, the growth was mainly the result of the oil production development of Vankorneft CJSC. The company develops the Vankor deposit in the North of the Krasnoyarsk region.

According to the forecasts of the Government of the Krasnoyarsk region, in 2012 it is planned to produce 18.2 mln tons of oil and condensate, 2013 – 25.5 mln tons.

There are 24 oil and gas deposits on the state balance in the region. The C1+C2 oil and condensate reserves are assessed at 1.738 bln tons, gas – 1.82 trln cubic meters. In 2011 the oil reserves growth in the Krasnoyarsk region made up 39.5 mln tons, gas – 21.96 bln cubic meters, condensate – 1.7 mln tons.

The main companies that produce hydrocarbons in the region are Vankorneft (affiliate of Rosneft), Norilskgazprom OAO, Taymyrgas. In the framework of the 2nd stage of the development of the Nizhnee Priangarie Rosneft plans to realize the project of the development of the Yurubcheno-Tokhoma block of oil and gas deposits. Slavneft and TNK-BP-Management OAO also hold the oil exploration in the region.
