Next year, Azerbaijan to invest almost $2.9 billion in creation of Southern Gas Corridor

In 2015, Azerbaijan plans to spend about 2.269 billion manats (about $2.9 billion) to finance projects for creation of the Southern Gas Corridor - a gas pipelines network to supply Azerbaijani gas to Europe and the development of the Shah Deniz field.
Expenditures for these purposes will make up 8.8% of expenditures of the consolidated budget for the next year, the Finance Minister Samir Sharifov stated, presented a draft budget package of Azerbaijan for 2015 in Parliament on Tuesday.
