In January – October, Azerbaijan increased gas exports from Shah Deniz by 39.5% to 5.3 billion cubic m

Total gas pipeline transporting was 17.6 billion cubic m within the period, by 9.1% more than last year.

In 2013, gas exports from Shah Deniz 1 was 4.7 billion cubic m.

The participants of the consortium for Shah Deniz field development are BP (the operator, 28.8%), Statoil (15.5%), SOCAR (16.7%), Lukoil (10%), NICO (10%), Total (10%) and  TPAO (9%).

In October, Statoil decided to fully leave the consortium selling its shareholding. The name of the buyer is not brought into the public.
