Ukraine is going to invest $800 million to TANAP

Kiev is ready to become a co-investor to TANAP pipeline that will transport Caspian gas to Turkey and Europe, the Minister of Energy and Coal Industry of the Ukraine, E. Stavitsky says after the negotiations of the Presidents of the Ukraine and Azerbaijan. The Ministry has evaluated that, with investment of $800 million, the Ukraine can await supplies of cheaper gas than the Russian imports. Experts state that probably Azerbaijan does not have spare gas for the Ukraine, and the latter can achieve any advantages only with investment of a sum larger by 2.5-3 times.
