Little competitor of South Stream TANAP gas pipeline comes back

The construction of the Trans-Anatolian gas pipeline (TANAP), designed to transport gas from the Shah Deniz field in Azerbaijan to Europe through Turkey, will resume after the negotiations of the Prime Minister of Turkey Ahmet Davutoglu in Baku.

The memorandum of understanding on TANAP was signed by the Ministers of Energy of the two countries, Taner Yildiz and Natig Aliyev on May 26th, 2014.

Not only do these two countries expect the final decision on TANAP will be confirmed by the visit of the new Prime Minister of Turkey Ahmet Davutoglu to Azerbaijan on Friday, but also the countries, through which it should be laid - Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Austria and Italy.
