If Rosneft gets Bashneft’s assets then it can raise the question about acquisition of Tatneft

The mass-media explain the criminal investigation initiated against V. Yevtushenkov, the holder of System AFK owning Bashneft by the interests of Rosneft.

Novaya Gazeta newspaper heads the article about possible intent of Rosneft by ‘If Bashneft falls, Is Tatneft the next?’. Its columnist I. Murtazin states that the most attractive Bashneft’s assets are the oil refineries. They were built for receiving of the highly-sulfurous oil from Bashkiria and Tatarstan.

The pipelines are laid for oil deliver from the neighboring region but they are not fully loaded. High-sulfurous oil gets in the sole flow with ordinary oil and is sold cheaper as a result. In his opinion, Rosneft is going to solve the point via the acquisition of the companies’ assets.
