Bulgaria terminates operations on the “South Stream” pipeline project

The Minister of the Economy and Energy of Bulgaria, V.Shtonov has ordered Bulgarian Energy holding to terminate operations on the “South Stream” pipeline project. It is due to the “noncompliance of the project with the EU Commission’s requirements.”

Shtonov said the project was going to be frozen until it met all the requirements of the EU Commission. To date, the Minister ordered to terminate all the operations, inclusive of the signing new agreements.
