Eduard Khudainatov gets his first assets – his Independent Petroleum Company to buy Geoteks and Payyaha

As  Kommersant has discovered, the former First Vice President of Rosneft Eduard Khudainatov, who left the company to engage in private business, has found the first assets. The Independent Petroleum Company (NNK), created at the end of 2012, is to purchase Geoteks that extracts gas in the Saratov region, and Payyaha that works in the Krasnodar region. The total amount of the deals will make up about $500 million. The industry, where not many independent players continue to work, says about a new strong consolidator.

Last week,the Independent Petroleum Company, whose President and owner, according to Kommersant, is the former First Vice President of Rosneft, Eduard Khudainatov, has started to consolidate its first two core assets. According to sources of  Kommersant, who are familiar with the situation, NNK agreed about the purchase of the gas company Geoteks and petroleum company Payyaha. The total amount of the deals made up about $500 million. According to Kommersant’s sources, the assets were put up for sale and the company “bought them on the market”. Khudainatov declined to comment.
