“Zoloto Kamchatki” to produce 3.5 tons of gold a year at Ametistovoye deposit

The governor of the Kamchatka region V.Ilyukhin considers the gold and silver deposit Ametistovoye of OJSC “Zoloto Kamchatki” (Kamgold, part of “Renova”) a new growing point for the economy of the northern districts of the region. They are about to mine 3.5 tons of gold a year, the regional government states.

The explored reserves of the deposit make up 52 tons of gold and 175 tons of silver. In 2010 CJSC “Ametistovoye” started the construction of temporary facilities at the deposit and proceeded to the construction of the building and the delivery of the main equipment in 2011. At present they l carry out the industrial production of ore and gold mining will start in 2014.
