Russia doesn’t change its stand on lawsuit against the EU on energy amendments
Russia still considers its stand on the lawsuit against the EU on energy amendments justified, the director of the Ministry of Economic Development’s Department of Trade Negotiations Maxim Medvedkov stated to the RIA Novosti.
"We think so, unless the court decides otherwise," - Medvedkov said.
Previously on Wednesday, the European Union rejected a request of Russia to the WTO to convene a group of arbitrators to resolve the dispute on energy amendments.
On December 23rd, 2013, Russia sent the lawsuit against the EU to the WTO, demanded itto stop using energy amendments in anti-dumping investigations against Russian companies. This methodology provides for calculation of goods value on the basis of European, not Russian prices of energy sources.
