Iran and Russia to resume cooperation in the oil industry

The National Iranian oil company (NIOC) and Russian Tatneft have resumed their oil agreement.

The negotiations between the parties were resumed on the margins of the 21th World Petroleum Congress in Moscow, the Iran.ru reports. According to the news agency, this agreement was reached even before the imposition of international sanctions against Iran.

According to director of the National Iranian oil company’ Department for Research and Technology Ali Emadi, the agreement provides for development and investment in heavy oil fields, test of new methods to increase the oil production and conduct of seismic surveys.
