Kiev to consider gas cooperation with Russia its priority, in spite of diversification of supplies

The Ukraine, in spite of its policy gas supplies diversification, considers the cooperation with Russia in the gas sector its priority direction, the Ukrainian Minister of Energy and Coal industry Eduard Stavitsky stated.

The head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Energy said that Kiev would be able to completely diversify the gas import with opening of the route of reverse supplies through Slovakia in the near future. “It doesn’t mean that we won’t work with our Russian colleagues. We will and this is our priority direction today, because the main volume of gas is transported through Russia,” – Stavitsky said to journalists.
