In 2012, Surgutneftegaz carried out geological exploration at 90 licensed subsoil areas (including 23 prospecting) in 8 constituents of the Russian Federation: the Khanty-Mansisk, Yamalo-Nenets and Nenets Autonomous Areas, in the Tyumen, Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk and Irkutsk regions and in Yakutia. Last year, the expenditures of geological exploration made up over 15.6 billion rubles.
