Russia. Rosneft plans to produce 14.8 million tons at the Vankor deposit in 2011

OAO “Oil company “Rosneft” maps out to produce 14.8 million tons at the Vankor deposit in 2011, the head of Rosneft E.Hudainatov said to reporters. “We did not reduce oil production at the Vankor. On the contrary, we have found the ways to produce oil efficiently.  We have got oil production to one central gathering and treating station of 25 million tons capacity. We are about to finish it by the end of the year and launch start-up and commissioning. We will increase oil production in 2013-2014. We have the same period, but we’ve done correlation this year. We plan to produce 14.8 million tons on a business-plan. We are ahead of schedule at present,” he said.

We remind that the Vankor deposit was to be excluded from the list of the deposits, subject to preferential tax treatment from May 1, 2011, as it has reached required level of profitability.

The Vankor deposit is in theKrasnoyarskregion. Its oil reserves exceed 260 million tons, gas –about 90 billion cubic meters. Rosneft owns the licence for its development since 2003.

The company was about to produce 18 million tons of oil at the deposit in 2012 and 25 million tons – in 2013.
