Production of ferroalloys fell by 6% in Jan-February

​In Jan-February 2015 the Ukrainian ferroalloy making enterprises reduced the production by 6.4% to 161.2 thousand tons against Jan-February 2014, the Ukrainian Association of ferroalloy produces says.

The output of silicon manganese rose by 5.5% to 132.7 thousand tons while the production of ferromanganese fell by 30.1% to 12.1 thousand tons, ferrosilicium (45%) – 50.9% to 14.3 thousand tons. 2.1 thousand tons of metal manganese were produced while in Jan-February 2014 it was not produced.

The Association said that the Stakhanov ferroalloy plant is shut down due to the military actions in the region.
