"Rosneft" has offered its Japanese partners the opportunity to participate in three major oil and gas projects in Russia, stated Igor Sechin, the head of the company, from the stage at the Russian - Japanese investment forum opened in Tokyo.
The first of these projects - is the creation of a liquefied natural gas plant on Sakhalin Island. The designated capacity is 5 million tons per year, with a possible increase in the future to 10 million. The launch is scheduled on 2018-19. The preliminary project cost is up to $ 10 billion.
"There is everything to organize the supply to the markets in the Asia-Pacific region. The deliveries to the Japanese market are a priority for us", - Igor Sechin, stated.
The second project – is the Eastern petrochemical complex with the potential capacity estimated at 6.8 million tons of petrochemical products. The supplies are planned to the Russian Far East and the Asia-Pacific markets. The total project cost is $ 40 billion.
