In 2016, transit of Turkmen oil through Azerbaijan planned to be 3 million tons

In 2016, the transit of Turkmen oil via Azerbaijan through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline is scheduled in the amount of 3 million tons.

According a source in SOCAR, the transit will be carried out on the basis of extended contract between SOCAR Trading and the company Dragon Oil, which produces oil at the block of the Cheleken fields in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea.
