In 2015, ChTPZ accumulated 1.291 million tons of scrap metal

In 2015, the sales of ferrous metals by company Meta (a part of the ChTPZ Group) amounted to 1.291 million tons, which is by 4% less than in 2014 (1.345 million tons). 718 thousand tons of this volume are own scrap metal, 573 thousand tons were the transit scrap metal. The decline in the sales volumes is connected with the general trend of reducing the scrap market (-7% against 2014). At the same time, the demand for scrap metal of Pervouralsk New Pipe Plant (a part of the ChTPZ Group), increased by + 11% or 90 thousand tons due to the growth in the production of seamless pipes, was satisfied by Meta in full.
