Russian court issues arrest warrant for Rakhimov over "Bashneft"

The Investigative Committee put the ex-head of "Bashneft" Ural Rakhimov into an international wanted list, who, he claims, went to be treated in Austria.

According to Izvestia, Moscow's Basmanny court also issued a warrant for his arrest in absentia. In Russia the businessman is accused of stealing the assets of the Bashkir fuel and energy complex and legalization of money. If in the near future Rakhimov is arrested, the Russian security services have a high chance to get him - Austria repeatedly extradited Russian criminals and suspects. In addition, the investigation nullified the house arrest for another person involved in this case - the head of AFK "Sistema" Vladimir Yevtushenko.
