Vybord plant to construct ships for Yamal LNG for $150 million

The Vyborg ship-building plant has won Yamal LNG’s tender for the construction of an ice breaker ship with capacity of 12 MW and heavy icebraking tug with capacity of 9MW. The ships must be constructed before 2016.
The total value of the order is estimated at $150 million, but the contract hasn’t been concluded yet. Yamal LNG held two tenders – on choice of a ship-building company and the operator of port fleet. The second tender must be completed on November, 18th. Then the chosen operator will conclude the contract with the Vyborg ship-building plant.
