3 parliament fractions and 2 committees of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan have not supported ratification of the contract for  the sale of Kyrgyzgaz  to Gazprom for a nominal price of $1.

The intergovernmental agreement presupposing transfer to Gazprom of all assets of Kyrgyzgaz including gas pipelines, gas distribution stations, underground fuel storages etc. for $1 was signed in July 2013 in Moscow. Kyrgyzstan guaranteed the exclusive right of Gazprom for gas imports to Kyrgyzstan, and protection of its investment from expropriation and nationalization.
