Kazakhstan asserts its right to increase export oil duties after accession to the WTO

Kazakhstan will keep the possibility to increase export oil and oil products duties after the WTO accession, the Minister for Economic Integration Zhanar Aytzhanova reported.

“We still continue negotiations, we are at the final stage in the negotiation with the European Union on securing the maximum or limiting levels of export customs duties that Kazakhstan could apply after the accession to the WTO," - Zh.Aytzhanova said during "the government hour" in the lower house of the parliament on Monday. "As for oil and oil products, we will be able to increase these duties concerning our exports," - she added.
