Gazprom increases investment to Stavropol pipeline

Several days ago Gazprom's Board of Directors agreed the new edition of the company’s investment program. Before the end of the financial year, it’s going to invest over 1 trillion rubles, by 320 billion rubles more than it was in the initial variant of the plan agreed in December 2012. Gazprom will invest 775 billion rubles to capital construction.

One of the priorty projects is the construction of the new pipeline Izobilny – Nevinnomyssk. The total length of the pipeline is approximately 100 km, and most of the route will be laid in the Kuban valley. The pipeline will be the part of the sole gas transporting system between Central Russia, Northern Caucasuses and Trans-Caucasus states. The main point of the system is the Northern-Stavropol underground  gas storage, one of the world largest objects of such kind. It was created on the basis of the exhausted gas deposit, and the volume is 43 billion cubic m.
