A large gold miner is interested in a deposit in Yakutia

One of the largest Russia’s gold miners is interested in the gold project Kyuchus in the north of Yakutia with the reserves of about 180 tons of gold. The auction by it is to be held soon, the chairman of the Union of Gold Miners of Russia, S. Kashuba, said.

In October 2012 by the regulation of the Government of Russia the Kyuchus was put up for auction. Rosnedra appointed the auction for the end of 2012 but later postponed for February 2013, however, the auction wasn’t held due to the absence of applications. The start-up payment was 880 mln roubles.

The Kyuchus deposit is located in the north of Yakutia. The deposit is the 2nd largest deposit in Yakutia after the Nezhdaninsky having slightly less reserves but exceeding it by almost twice by the contents of gold.
